How it works

Green Cabs operates as a hail and ride service. The information below shows where our cabs wait and when they are likely to be out. We are not out 24/7 but generally we have cabs out on Friday night, weekends, public and school holidays.

Looking for a cab

If you need a cab you can fill in the booking form at the bottom of the page to request a cab.

Your pick up point must be within our operation area (ie Brisbane CBD, South Brisbane, West End shops area, The Valley).

You can also try calling or texting our rank manager Jonathan on 0414 903 093.  Jonathan will do his best to connect you with a rider.

When we operate

  • Friday evenings: 5pm – late
  • Saturday: 11am-late
  • Sunday: 11am-6pm
  • School holidays: 11am-6pm (limited service)
  • Public holidays: 11am-6pm (limited service)
  • Weekdays: 11am-6pm (limited service)

Where you can find us

During the weekend days our cabs are based at South Bank at the Wheel of Brisbane. On Friday and Saturday nights, you will find Green Cabs at South Bank (till 10pm) and throughout the city centre, including at our rank at Fridays in Eagle St.

Prices

Prices start at $10 for 2 adults to travel a short distance (1-2 blocks) or more for longer journeys. Our most common fare is from the Wheel of Brisbane to the Casino for $20 for 2 adults.

Hotel & restaurant collections

Green Cabs provides cab services for CBD based hotels and restaurants.

Please Note: Green Cabs do not operate on rainy days. Children under 8 years travel for free with 2 fare paying adults. While our service is fully insured passengers should note there are risks involved when you ride a Green Cab.
